A plowmen's competition was held in the Minsk region, in which the best machine operators of agricultural enterprises participated.
The traditional event this year was held for the first time in several stages. It started at the Zhdanovichi agricultural complex.
— We attach serious importance to this competition,— emphasized the chief specialist in mechanization of the agriculture and food department of the Minsk regional executive committee, Mikhail Pridybaylo. — This is not just a competition, but also an education. And there is no doubt that it is necessary, since the quality of plowing on some of our farms leaves much to be desired.
To participate in the competition, farms delegated experienced cultivators, because they had to plow in strict accordance with industry technological regulations.
The specialists supported their machine operators in every possible way and gave them the necessary instructions. True, they had little time for this, so the competitors mainly had to rely on themselves. For example, Vitaly Malevich from the Republican Center for Olympic Training for Equestrian Sports and Horse Breeding became the best in the competition held on the field of the Zhdanovichi agricultural complex. Despite his relative youth, he is an experienced mechanic, he feels the machine, and it does not let him down. Leads the furrow as if along a cord.

Mechanists Mikhail Loginov from the Zhdanovichi agricultural complex also matches his colleague. and Andrey Sokolov from JSC Ignatichi. They were somewhat inferior in skill to Vitaly, but also showed good results. The soil they plowed looked like a kind of smooth carpet; no significant flaws were noticed on it, which in practice complicate further processing of the soil layer.
