Relations of trade unions with employers, creation of primary trade union organizations, control of pricing. These and other issues were discussed at a meeting between Alexander Lukashenko and Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions Mikhail Orda.
The leader of the national trade union center gave a positive assessment of the creation of primary trade union organizations in the private sector of the economy. According to the head of the FPB, over the year there were 2.9 thousand more of them.
– This is a good result, we see that we are moving in the right direction. And the head of state fully supports us in this, – stated the chairman of the FPB.
Mikhail Orda also noted the role of trade union organizations in ensuring effective social dialogue in all spheres of the economy. He once again emphasized that a person should not be left alone with an employer. The trade union organization, according to the leader of the national trade union center, has enough resources and competencies to protect the rights of workers.
– Last year alone, the legal inspectorate represented the interests of people in courts more than 400 times. About 80 illegally dismissed were reinstated. Returned 4.8 million rubles illegally withheld or unpaid funds, – The head of the Federation of Trade Unions gave examples.
Mikhail Orda noted that sometimes trade unions are faced with misunderstanding on the part of employers and reluctance to “build normal social dialogue.”
– The reasons, apparently, lie in the desire to hide violations at enterprises, for example, the facts of paying salaries in envelopes, – said Mikhail Orda.
The leader of the national trade union center also said that he informed the President about the plans of trade unions to counteraction to the illegal and hostile actions of individual countries, which “unilaterally, without having any right to do so, unleashed economic war, violating all international laws."
– We understand the purpose of this aggression – cause economic damage to our country. People and families may suffer from this. This already concerns the national security of Belarus. We will do everything to counter these unfriendly and hostile actions – emphasized the trade union leader.
In addition, in the conversation with the head of state, the topics were touched upon control over pricing and timely payment contributions to the Social Protection Fund, issues of providing assistance to workers in the revision of economic claims, providing deserving working conditions of farmers during the harvesting campaign.
